Bio
Becca started playing oboe at 11 years old and continued to study in college, earning a Bachelor's in oboe performance, and picking up guitar, piano, and a variety of other instruments on the way. She also studied music composition in school and has written for a variety of different instruments.
She played in the short-lived folk comedy duo, Taxidermy Recital for a year or so before the group broke up, at which point she went solo. Her first solo show was opening for Team Love's Flowers Forever at 1982 in Gainesville. She has since continued playing shows both locally, and has also performed at several prominent venues in Omaha, NE, including Slowdown.
She draws musical inspiration from Joanna Newsom, Sufjan Stevens, Bright Eyes, Cat Power, and Jenny Lewis.
