Bio

Michael “White Mike” Osborne was born & raised in the Philadelphia area. He first fell in love with Hip Hop at the age of 9 yrs old when it was introduced to him by an older friend in his apartment complex. White Mike’s love for the music & the culture grew stronger as the years passed. His early influences ranged from L.L. Cool J, Rakim, to Snoop Dogg.

By high school White Mike was writing rhymes and freestyling in the school cafeteria and at local parties. Well known in surrounding towns for his skills on the basketball court, Mike switched his focus to the rap game soon after high school.

O.Z. started working with up & coming producers Mad Beats from West Philly. Over the next few years White Mike worked on his song writing and performance abilities while networking with artists & producers. By 2005 he was ready to release his first mixtape Hustle Smarter Volume 1. This first release gained a significant buzz for this artist all over Philly & surrounding areas while creating a demand for his music. Later that year White Mike was recruited for a VH1 pilot show where he met Hip Hop Icon MC Serch, whom he befriended and still works with today.

By early 2006 White Mike had fully established himself on the Philly Hip Hop scene. His popularity lead to radio play and many party hosting oppurtunities. White Mike was recruited by the top DJs & promoters in the city to rock the mic at all the hottest events. He was the MC for two years at GrapeStreet, which was Philly’s 1 nightclub & live music venue during that timeframe. At GrapeStreet he worked side by side with legendary Philly DJ & Producer DJ Sat One of the Skratch Makaniks.

Since then O.Z. has released multiple songs, remixes, and freestyles. He also dropped 4 mixtapes - Back To The Phuture (2006), Grab The Mic & Hustle (2007), Hustle Smarter: The Collection (2008), & I Hate Rappers (2011). Mixtapes available at DatPiff.com/whitemikeoz. His songs have been played on all major urban & top 40 stations such as Wired 96.5, Power 99, and Hot 107.9 in Philadelphia.

In 2013 White Mike released a music video for All The Hustlaz, which was shot & edited by HySpeed of Siight Effex Films. The visual has been featured on MTV.com, VH1.com, MTV U and was picked up by multiple music blogs nationwide. To date All The Hustlaz has received over 40,000 views on YouTube.

White Mike continues to MC/host parties in the tri-state area at all the hottest venues alongside top notch DJs such as DJ Aktive (tours with Kanye West, Kelis, Marshia Ambrosius, Tyga, etc.) & DJ A-Run (official dj for Skillz, Macy’s, Royal Caribbean, Rocawear, etc.)

Highly respected by the Philly music scene and Hip Hop icons such as DJ Jazzy Jeff & MC Serch, White Mike has proven to be a true talent and student of Hip Hop. White Mike lives by his own motto, “Hustle smarter, not harder” and this approach combined with his talent will take him to the forefront of the entertainment scene!
