Indie entrants Sex! and White Shoe Brown Shoe are the most poised to follow the Apollo Sunshine/Click Five path to success (two bands previously featured on Dorm Sessions). - Weekly Dig
White Shoe Brown Shoe’s “Off to the Races” is one of the best tracks to come out of Dorm Sessions Volume 6. The song calls to mind Pavement at their most upbeat, and The Velvet Underground at their least pretentious – the song is practically a modern indie classic.

Bio
WhiteShoeBrownShoe is the collaboration of two songwriters brought together by rock, roll, and bowl of chilli. Mr. Patrik Gochez, an East Coast Legend, and Alex Britten of West Coast Distinction. The two shoes paired up in 2006 and began playing gigs around the Boston area.
The new shoes began carving out their own niche, creating tunes of all shapes and sizes and playing shows all over greater New England while keeping Boston their homestead.
They released an EP, “Yer Birthday” which garnered the recognition of Heavy Rotation Records, getting the shoes a spot on the prized Dorm Sessions 6, an annual disc released of Berklee Music’s most standout artists.
2010 saw the release of the Shoes’ debut full length album, “Action” an artistic effort combining folk, rock, indie, funk, blues, and even hip-hop to create a true musical masterpiece that Jon Anderson of Yes calls “wild and wonderful.”
