White Sound

White Sound is a collective of four musicians who strive to revoke the veil of reality and to help evoke glimpses of the eternal state in which we all originate from...to take the pilgrimage home!

Rooted in Hard Rock, White Sound combines blues with progressive and psychedelic elements. Their songs range from short and traditional to long and experimental. Live, they take their songs to new heights, jamming in ways similar to bands from the 60's and 70's. Their jams aim not to make a noodly bed for Hippies to lie in, but to weave a web of sound and energy that explodes with soul and color.
Prospective contemporary bands with similar fan bases include Queens of the Stone Age, The Mars Volta, The White Stripes, and Wolfmother.

The group currently has two self-produced EPs, Blue and Voyager. Blue displays the bands roots in hard-rock and ends with a groove-driven jam and experimental wall of sound that typically leaves crowds shaking their hips more than banging their heads.
Voyager takes listeners on a journey of personal introspection and growth by way of Eastern philosophy and the personal struggles of letting go of the past and moving on with life. In addition, the song Voyager doubles as an alternate score to the ending of Stanley Kubrik’s 2001 A Space Odyssey. The group also continues to receive radio airplay with their new single “Bitter” off the Voyager EP on KQXR 100.3 The X in Boise, Idaho.

White Sound was formed by brothers Justin Thomas Kleine (age 26) and Robert Wendel Kleine (age 22) in Boise, ID around ’05, though the two have been playing in bands together for the past fourteen years. Singer Patrick Darby Parker (age 25) joined the band in ’06 and the group enjoyed a respectable following through local clubs in Boise, including several appearances at The Knitting Factory. After finishing college the three relocated to Seattle, WA in late ’08 in order to further pursue careers in the music industry. After spending most of ’09 in search of a fitting fourth member, White Sound recently added Adam Clark (age 25), originally from Portland, and recently started playing shows around Seattle.

Now that their line-up has been solidified, White Sound is looking forward to hitting the road in the Northwest this spring and down the west coast for the summer of 2010.
