Bio

At age 23, Nashville recording artist Whitney Layne is taking country music by storm. She has just completed her debut album “This is My Song”, working with some of Nashville’s finest singer/songwriters, artists, and producers, such as: James Otto, Steve Rutledge, Joie Scott, Kris Bergsnes, D. Scott Miller, Jamie O’Niel, and so many more. Anticipation is building as Whitney will soon announce her 1st single off the album, which is getting early praises as the next billboard hit.

Whitney, wildly charismatic on stage with all ages, is taking her new album on a nationwide “Fast Layne Tour”, showcasing her powerful, soulful voice described as a blend of Bonnie Raitt and Jennifer Nettles with songs that are both passionate and reflective of everyday life. Her “Fast Layne Tour” is a follow-up to her successful multi-state/city tour opening crowds as large as 30,000 for Kellie Pickler, Josh Gracin, and Charley Jenkins, that went through the summer of 2008.

Whitney’s career is has been filled with accolades since first stepping on stage at age 4.

At the age of 16, Whitney wrote and recorded "The Perfect Man" which made its way up the Independent Top 40 Charts. This catapulted her career as an artist and songwriter. She started working with producer, Chuck Meyers. Meyers helped develop her as an artist. He pushed her to reach higher and work harder.

Whitney Layne is pursuing her life-long dream of being a professional singer/songwriter and shows no signs of slowing down. She remembers vividly seeing the whole audience rise in unison as she finished her rendition of "Broken Wing" at her 7th grade talent show. She experienced a huge adrenalin rush and waves of emotion as she realized that all of those people were standing in applause for HER! She realized she never wanted that feeling to end and drove her to pursue her dreams no matter the obstacles life would bring.

Anyone who knows her would describe her as positive and passionate about both music and life in general.

"I feel so blessed to be doing what I love everyday and to be writing with some of the best songwriters in Nashville".
