Whoa Dizzy

Born in the shadow of Washington State's Government machine, Whoa Dizzy! has been rocking the Olympia area since 2002.

The group started casually as a well reasoned escape from cubicle hell, with husband/wife duo Eric Mandt (lead guitar) and Cheri Keller (bass guitar) forming the nucleus of the group with co-worker Nick Lutes (drums and lead vocals). Over the course of the next two years, the trio worked on fine-tuning their eclectic mix of funky, blues-laced rock-and-roll. Finding the arrangement to be an excellent vehicle for the prolific writing talents of both Eric and Nick, the group amassed a catalog of over 50 songs. By early 2005 it had become apparent that changes were in order if the band was to reach its full potential. With the group feeling a need to expand, a street level reconnaissance report from Nick's daughter led to a chance meeting with drummer and friendly neighbor David Bacon. Recruiting David to play the drums allowed Nick to move out front and tackle lead vocals full time. These moves solidified the line up, and ever since they've been busting their chops playing in and around Olympia.

By 2007 Whoa Dizzy! had recorded and self released their debut full length album, "Lunacy." The group is currently engaged in recording their second full length release... Coming soon in 2009!
