"Indie-Video Vision: Rockstar Jones"

"The music video for 'Radio,' the new single from Little Rock rapper, Rockstar Jones, showcases central Arkansas locales like the staircase at the Little Rock restaurant and lounge Lulav, where the star surrounded himself with beauties, and a North Little Rock tattoo parlor where a graffiti artist created a boombox for cameo appearances including other rappers and an Elvis impersonator."

- Kyle Brazzel - Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

"Rockstar Jones Releases Mixtape"

"Like his previous single, "That's My Nature," ('Radio') has an old-school, East Coast flavor and an irrepressible, sing-songy hook."

- Lindsey Miller, Arkansas Times - Arkansas Times Magazine

Bio

With 5 self-released mixtapes under his belt (Instant Classic, Rockstar For President, Who Is Rockstar?, In the Company of Kings, and So Far So Good), multiple underground singles/remixes (“1 A.M.,” “Now You Know,” “Run the Streets,” “L.A. Noire,”), 3 independent movies, countless voiceover work in national television/radio ad campaigns and the critically acclaimed JONES (EP), artist/songwriter/producer/actor, Rockstar Jones might only be new to you. Recognized by a rapidly growing fanbase that extends from his Hollywood home to hometown, Little Rock, AR, New York City, the UK, France and even Japan, yet relatively overlooked by major media outlets, the 25 yr. old, Jones’ is ‘quietly’ positioning himself as one of 2012’s most anticipated personalities.

Recently, this budding multimedia mogul celebrated the release of his debut album (Better Than Good LP) on Dirty Drum Productions/HU2Group which followed the successful release of the controversial debut single and video (“Bombs”) prove that Rockstar Jones, a direct descendent of New York Times Best-Selling Author, Alex Haley (“Roots,” “Malcolm X”) is showing no intentions of calming his movement.

With a distinct sound reminiscent of early Kanye West, a vibrant multimedia presence (WhoisRockstar.com) and Web Miniseries (Keeping Up With the Jones), this world-traveler is ushering in a new kind of artist. Though the Rockstar Jones story is just beginning, the gifted producer, the charismatic songwriter and budding feature movie actor is proving that all musicians do not follow the same blueprint to stardom.
