"Yung O F/ Jay Keyz - "Put It Down""

Yung O is a rising independent rapper from Oklahoma City. He turned to rapping as a way to stay out of trouble. And though numerous obstacles have tried to get in his way, Yung O has stayed focused and comitted to his craft. His determination has proved to be successful so far. He has six projects under his belt, as well as several local awards. He has opened for big named acts like Trina, Chamillionaire, etc. He dropped a track with B.o.B and the list goes on. Not a bad resume for an indie rapper, huh? Yung O has a connection to a phrase that goes: "Fly by any means, no doubt." But is his single fly? Click the jump to find out.

The production here is good. It contains a low bass with light instruments, such as a piano. The overall vibe of the track is smooth/grown and sexy. The hook is dope too. Jay Keyz has a very pleasant sound to his vocals. Also, the lyrics are nicely constructed. The verses are on point as well. Y.O. has a unique tone to his flow. His delivery is in perfect sync with the production and his lyrics are quality.

"I know you hate it how you always seem to catch a player. But be a believer, I'm your reliever. You can catch some air. See you in need of special care, let me attend. When yo man get to acting up, put him on suspend. So you tell me you was happiest growing up with yo friends. Then come with me, and I can make you feel like 17 again. See I ain't him and he ain't O;" that's some strong game spitting right there. Overall, this track is a banger. Perfect mood music for an intimate occasion.
