Why M.A.E.K. Music™ originated in Chicago, IL to re-evaluate the various motivations that lead to the creation of music. “M.A.E.K.” serves as a mnemonic for four such motivations: money, art, entertainment, and kreativity.

The group is not afraid to challenge conventions with complicated song structures and unique instrumentals. Why M.A.E.K. Music has created a fusion of traditional R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Blues, Pop and Rock with the goal of ushering in a new age of artistry in music.

The formidable, dynamic duo of Jason and Bryan are the forces behind Why M.A.E.K. Music. Always critical of the current state of modern mainstream music and its lack of creativity, substance, and passion, Jason and Bryan decided to create a project that filled these voids. They are ecstatic about their upcoming projects and introducing the world to their eclectic style. “The music is exactly what I feel the industry is missing and what music listeners are craving,” said Bryan.

Why M.A.E.K. Music released the highly anticipated “Ex-Man Collection” on May 3, 2011. In a marketplace littered with rudimentary song structures, cookie cutter albums, and pieced together mixed tapes, Why M.A.E.K. Music displays a never seen before level of artistry on this masterpiece. The “Ex-Man Collection” chronicles various storylines that result in the end of a relationship. This three song EP is the first release from the “Death to Genres” Album which is set to drop in 2012. The “Ex-Man Collection” demonstrates how Why M.A.E.K. Music does more than defy the concept of genres, but transcends them.
