Feel the power of Singapores best-loved percussion band who excites audiences worldwide with their wicked and infectious drumbeats.
The 12-strong percussion team works crowds into partied frenzy. The Wicked Aura Batucada percussion armory, contains a variety of traditional, borrowed, improvised and contemporary instruments. Drums in all shapes and sizes from diverse cultures: the African djembes, Brazilian surdos, and the Indian dhol not forgetting the local ethnic flavor backed by the traditional Asian drums such as kompang, rebana, and many others.
Masters of innovative rhythms, Wicked Aura Batucada is the only Asian band to figure in the Top 20 of the BBCs 2007 search for The Next Big Thing the broadcaster's global search for the music of the future.
With their debut album launched in 2008, the band will set international stages on fire with their high-energy drumming and performance.
