Bio
Wes Wiedemann, also known as DJ Wied, is one of the most sought after DJs and producers of EDM from the Midwest. Between gigs you can almost certainly find him producing music and working on remixes. He has also been know to throw a underground EDM event or two that have produced large turnouts. His career as a DJ began in 2011 when he attended the opening of a new lounge in the Oklahoma City area. Wes offered to play some music and quickly packed the dance floor. One week later amidst multiple requests, Wes was asked to come back and DJ for the venue. This was the inception of DJ Wied!
DJ Wied’s following grew rapidly, and this momentum led to his first residency at Rok Bar in downtown Oklahoma City. From there Wied’s talent and creativity landed him multiple residencies in Oklahoma City and frequent one offs in the Tulsa area. Venues included: Skkybar Ultra Lounge, The Office, The Dollhouse Nightclub, Prime Room OKC, Club One15, Venu Bar, Pink Nightclub, Rio Nightclub, and the Purple Dragon. Soon he was playing 3-4 nights weekly and was quickly approached to start playing in the Dallas Market where he eventually became a frequent act with many performances at Eternal Eden and Plush Nightclub in Dallas, Texas. This opening of the door to a new major metropolitan market gave Wied the opportunities to also play at venues such as the famous Cameo Nightclub, Mantus Ultra Lounge, Teddy’s Room, Levu Nightclub, and Avenu Lounge. With his unique sound and extraordinary skill, Wied quickly positioned himself to become one of the most recognized DJ's in the Oklahoma City area. Eager to perfect his craft, he and a close friend came to the realization that in order to progress they would need to learn how to produce their own music. Creating and producing quickly became Wied’s passion and he began to focus solely on music production as he put club gigs on hold. Although he relocated to Las Vegas, NV in the summer of 2014, Wied has maintained his ties with OKC and Dallas area venues and continues to play both locales.
