Bio

Joel Kauffman
~~~~~~~~~
At the age of seventeen, Joel picked up a guitar, and it’s hardly an exaggeration to say that he hasn’t put it down since (13 years). Joel’s natural dexterity and blossoming musical talent had found a home, and he quickly ran through the song books of the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and The Allman Brothers Band. He then decided music was his calling and received a degree in classical guitar performance. His time studying and playing classical guitar expanded both his love of different kinds of music and his ability to weave easily between genres. His more recent influences include John Scofield, Charlie Hunter, and Trey Anastasio.
Joel is no stranger to the stage, having performed in a variety of bands such as his college Jazz band, several other jazz groups, The Stop (jam/funk band), The Joel Kauffman Blues Band, and several acoustic projects. Joel also plays classical guitar for weddings and private events. In 2004 he performed at the Odyssey Music Festival where he shared the bill with Galactic, and The Derek Trucks Band. He has performed throughout the southeast at venues such as the Exit/Inn in Nashville and Workplay in Birmingham.
Josh Jordan
~~~~~~~
Josh began piano lessons at age 7 and never looked back. Honing his ears and hands from a young age, Josh branched out into trumpet,french horn, guitar, drums, and finally electric bass. Josh's love for the high energy punk rock of his youth mixed with his fascination for composition and live sound. Known for his seamless musical and lyrical improvisation, he became enthralled in audio engineering and found his passion for live performance during his time spent in the Music Technology program at UAB. He cites influences such as Tom Dowd, Gregg Allman, Joe Cocker, Victor Wooten,Fat Mike, P-Nut, and Tim Commerford. Over the years, his training and innovation would fuse with his energy onstage to project a uniquely entertaining and impressive presence.

Dave Bark
~~~~~~~
Dave hails from a musical bloodline and has exhibited a tendency for rhythm since in the womb. He began taking private drum lessons by the age of 12 from the Head of Percussion at The University of South Alabama, who encouraged him to join and perform in school marching, jazz, and symphonic bands. Dave enjoyed learning about music so much that he persued a degree in music technology at UAB where he met Josh Jordan. Upon crossing paths with Josh in 2003, they began playing together and fine-tuning the nuances that bring the rhythm of a band together.
Growing up listening to such notable drummers as Vinnie Colada, Stuart Copeland, Dennis Chambers, Carter Beauford, and Tim Alexander, Dave's respect for his craft and love for the stage have helped him evolve into a professional drummer noted for his precision and intensity, making him a delight sonically as well as visually at shows.
