Our music is a unique combination of psychedelic rock, indie rock, jazz, funk, and blues. While we play mostly original songs, Wighat also thrives on covering other artists' compositions (Tom Waits, The Traveling Wilburys, Prince, Ike and Tina Turner, Blondie, and The Zombies) in unique ways.

The genre-bending musical menagerie known as Wighat was born in early 2006 to singer/front person Rubi Cuautle and drummer P. I. Navarro. Guitarists Josh Cochran, Eric Amata (No River City), and bassist Drew de Man (Old Custer) round out the line-up. Wighat strives to make each of their compositions as collaborative as possible in order to come up with new sounds and song structures.
