Tell us how you got started?
I started writing music in about the 7th grade I use to write raps and perform them in front of my English class on certain occasions. I was fortunate to have a teacher who help me expand my creativity as a person by showing me how to express myself by writing poetry about how i felt and what i seen. Rap is a form of poetry so I used that as an outlet to express myself and eventually turn it into a career. But when I went to high school I went through the motions and never really focus on doing rap. Just lived day-to-day with no future plans. The transition from high school to the real world sometimes come faster than you expect. I started working at target when I finally met this guy name Daniel Watkins better known as Dan the don. We instantly became friends and he told me he wanted to put together this rap crew and he wanted me to be apart of it. At first I didn’t take it serious but I remember the moment like it was yesterday when I recorded my first verse on wax and hearing myself. The feeling I got was just incredible! One of those unexplainable feelings!! After that I was ready to change my life and make music my dream and the rest is history.

What’s the first thing you would say someone when they ask you to describe yourself as an artist?
I think I would say that I’m passionate. I’m passionate about respecting the craft.

So speaking of new music what can we expect to hear from you in the near future?
Well its funny you ask that because for the last three months I’ve been working on a new project that I am excited about. I was waiting for the perfect time to unveil it and I feel like this interview is just the right moment to do so. So without further wait I would like to announce the title of my new EP called “Determinated Since 1988″ Expect 10 new original songs from me on this new project.

Is there a release date on this new project?
I got an idea on a certain date but I don’t wanna speak on nothing I’m not a 100% sure on so I’ll say you can expect the project around late July.

Whats the biggest difference between this project and your previous project Committed To My City?
Mainly the growth in my music. I was wet behind the ears recording my first project but I feel a lot more comfortable with my abilities on this project. I looked at my first project being a put on tape for my city. This new project is all about me and some of my personal struggles. It will be good to show people another side of me that I rarely show. It will be topics on there that I probably won’t talk about in person. I’ll just let the music do all the talking. Cant wait for everybody to hear it I think they will be impressed with it!
