Wildcat Creek

Wildcat Creek

Wildcat Creek plays Old Time American, Celtic and World music for contra dancing and events of all sorts. The pure sounds of concertina and hammer dulcimer blended with fiddle, viola, cello, guitar, cittern and bass make for a unique sound. Lively jigs and reels, sweet waltzes, folk songs and more!

Dave Paton and Tom White have been playing traditional dance music together for many years. Dave is a member of the Paton Family that founded Folk-Legacy Records and has played and recorded with many leading artists in the Folk and Celtic genres. Tom is an amazing multi-instrumentalist and composer of tunes who grew up in the Baltimore area surrounded by old-time gospel and bluegrass music. Between them, they have a vast repertoire of wonderful music for listening and for dancing. They are joined by string specialist, Nina Dryer, and Carl who plays a cittern he designed and built himself, and Will who grew up in Roanoke, VA to form this new group of old friends: WILDCAT CREEK! We are working on some album tracks and will post some for you to hear in the near future.

Dave has three albums on the Folk-Legacy label, "Music From the Mountain", "All Hands Around", and "Twas On A Night Like This- a Christmas Legacy".
