"'Something To Crow About'"

"Wilderspin will tickle your fancy if you enjoy some kick back music that is filled with folk, rock, country and Americana influences. They are all over the musical map and they do it all very well. The best way to put it is Wilderspin will set your mind at ease, make you smile and give you a new found appreciation for good vocals, lyrics that touch your soul and some fine instrumentation to bring it all home." - MuzikReviews

Bio

Wilderspin was formed in 2011 by singer-songwriter Mark Wilderspin and comprises a seven piece line-up featuring 12 string guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, violin and mandolin plus string harmony vocals.

Apart from Mark Wilderspin on 12-string acoustic guitar and lead vocals, other band members include Robert Holmes on electric guitar and Sarana VerLin on violin.

Robert is Briitsh but lived in the US for many years, most notably forming 'Til Tuesday with Aimee Mann. Sarana is originally from Detroit, US but moved to the UKL in late 2011 and is well-known as violinist, singer-songwriter and performer in her own right.

Mark met up with bass player / producer Paul Bryant in late 2010 and were quickly joined by Pete Griffin on mandolin and who was a member of UK 80's avant-garde band 'A 1000 Mexicans'.

The music spans folk, rock, country and Americana genres and is characterised by strong melodies and poetic meaningful lyrics.

The band's debut album 'Something To Crow About' was released in late July 2012 and almost immediately secured BBC Radio 'Introducing' and regional airplay.
