Wild Willy, his son Wild Willy Jr. and band out of Memphis, TN are known for their hugely popular and interactive family music performances! With the look and sound of old fashioned troubadours they strive to teach the Wild Willy Creed: Love the Earth and Everyone On It!

Biography

Wild Willy and band hale from Memphis Tennessee - the Birthplace of Rock’n Roll and the Home of the Blues! Joined on stage by his own flesh and blood – his son Willy Jr. and some of the top club musicians in Memphis – the romping and stomping has no end! With the look and sound of old fashioned troubadours complete with banjos, guitars, mandolins, harmonicas, dulcimers, hand drums, stomp boxes and other old time instruments…Wild Willy & the Memphis Jam Band thrill audiences of all ages with their high energy and interactive live shows!

Wild Willy was born in Kentucky and his family roots run deep into the mountains of North East Kentucky. Being raised by his family to appreciate the mountain folk music and the folk stories passed on from generation to generation - Willy has found a way to make the old ways fresh and new to this generation.

Wild Willy Jr., being born in Memphis, caught the Memphis Mojo at a very young age and has always been his Dad’s wing man when it comes to making music. Though his first love is percussion – Willy Jr. plays just about anything he can get his hands on – especially any unique instrument from his Dad’s antique instrument collection. He is rarely seen without his Buddy Holly glasses.

Willy has been performing Family Music since he was a teenager and has always loved the interaction that this new and growing genre provides in a live setting. Nothing makes Willy happier than to see families singing, laughing, dancing and something totally new to some…just being together in the same room – what a concept! “What this world needs is to bring back the front porch of the olden days when folks sat and told stories, sang songs and just spent time together. We try to bring a virtual front porch to every one of our shows!”

At a Wild Willy show families will be dancing and singing one minute and a moment later parent’s can be seen tearing up as their child leans over to whisper in their ear “It’s true, I love you” . This is a lyric from an interactive song – It’s True - that encourages families to remember to take time to say “I love you”.

The mission of Wild Willy & the Memphis Jam Band is to bring families and audience members together through music as they sing, dance and interact together! They also strive to teach and live out the Wild Willy Creed: Love the Earth and Everyone On It! This creed teaches kids and adults alike the world changing importance of living a green life and learning to love all people regardless of their color, creed or beliefs.

Pharoah Pharoah

Written By: Music by Richard Berry, lyrics by Tony Sbrana

Chords: E - A - Bm - A (repeat)

Pharaoh Pharaoh, Oh baby, Let my people go! (yeah, yeah, yeah . . .)
Pharaoh Pharaoh, Oh baby, Let my people go!

Well, the burning bush told me just the other day
That I should come over here and say
Got to get my people out of Pharaoh's hand
And lead them on over to the promised land.

Pharaoh Pharaoh, Oh baby, Let my people go! (yeah, yeah, yeah . . .)
Pharaoh Pharaoh, Oh baby, Let my people go!

Well, all of God's people came to the Red Sea
With Pharaoh's army coming after me
I raised my rod, stuck it in the sand
And all of God's people walked across dry land.

Pharaoh Pharaoh, Oh baby, Let my people go! (yeah, yeah, yeah . . .)
Pharaoh Pharaoh, Oh baby, Let my people go!

Well all of Pharaoh's army was coming too
So what do you think that I did do?
I raised my rod and cleared my throat
And all of Pharaoh's army did the dead man's float.

Pharaoh Pharaoh, O Babe, you shoulda let us go. (yeah, yeah, yeah . . .)
Pharaoh Pharaoh, O Babe, you shoulda let us go.

All Around the Kitchen - Am

All around the kitchen
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
All around the kitchen
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
All around the kitchen
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
All around the kitchen
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo

Well stop right there
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Put your hands in your hair
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Put your arms in the air
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Spin around in a circle
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo

All around the kitchen...

Stop right there
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Make your arms into trees
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Then you wave them in the breeze
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Walk and wobble your knees
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo

All around the kitchen…

Stop right there
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Make your arms into wings
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Then you flap those things
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Fly around in a circle
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo

All around the kitchen…

Stop right there
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Put your hands in the sky
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Wave the clouds goodbye
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo
Yell Yipee-yi-yi
Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo

All around the kitchen…
