Wild-Wood

Wild-Wood

BandFolkAcoustic

WildWood is a folk/pop sextet with a touch of country. Bluesy, soulful originals with soaring vocals. Sprouting roots in Northampton, Massachusetts and spreading... Although we perform as a sextet, we can pair it down to duo or trio as needed (i.e. space limitations, sound issues, etc).

Biography

A tapestry of acoustic folk instruments playing jazz-influenced pop songs. Whoa.

Lyrics

End of the Rainbow

Written By: Tony Lechner

Dancing barefoot on the grass
Perfume in the air
Siren sweetly sings to you
Letting down her hair

She’s the moon upon your sea
Pulling at your tides
Doesn’t need to tell you
Says it with her eyes

Moonlight
Making her skin glow
Wait for your moment
End of the rainbow

Trace her path across the sky
Brickless, yellow road
All that glitters in her eyes
Parting fools from gold

Moonlight
Keeping her voice low
Wait for your moment
End of the rainbow

Moonlight
Feeling that wind blow
Wait for your moment
End of the rainbow

Hold You Again

Written By: Tony Lechner

I never thought I'd miss someone
the way that I miss you
I dream about you every night
there's nothing else I can do

How could you do this to me baby?
How could you let me down this way?

I remember all my dreams
reflected in your eyes
And all I had I gave to you
but all that's left are lies

How could you do this to me baby?
How could you let me down this way?

How do you feel?
Wasn't it real?
Now I know that I'll never hold you again

I think about the way we were
and holding you so tight
And now I lie without you girl
through the lonely night

How could you do this to me baby?
How could you let me down this way?
Now I know that IÕll never hold you again

Riverside

Written By: Tony Lechner

The sun is setting over Sugarloaf
I’m just drifting down the river with my friends
Wild blueberries and heather pass me by
I’ll just float downstream, until this river ends

Gonna stop a while at riverside
Forget about our troubles one by one
Find a quiet place where we can hide
Just close our eyes until this day is done

If somebody’s looking for me
Tell ‘em I’m doing fine
As long as it’s warm and sunny
I’ll just sit right here and waste some time

The sun is setting, now it’s time to go
Light the lanterns, and paddle on back home
It's been a long day, now it’s time to dream
I’ll be floatin’ on that river all night long
