Biography

Music has been apart of my life since an early age, whether my mom was playing them old school records that keep you grooving or something smooth like Sade, Miles Davis, to even Kenny G when times got rough. Hip-Hop was my first love, everything from the B-Boys battling, to the graffiti artists tagging, from Dj' s to the MC's, Hip- hop was and is my life. Growing up i always had a way with words whether it was in the class room for my teachers or on the basketball court with my team. As a young black kid growing up in Laurence Harbor, NJ there wasn't much to do but ball, rap, fight or hustle. The "Harbor" always gave me hope, confidence, and belief cause i would look straight across the hudson and could see "NYC" the birthplace, the Mecca, the beginning of Hip-Hop. As i got older i gravitated towards those artists who had versatility, a great delivery, energy, creativity and a message. I was inspired by artists like Nas, Andre 3000, Common, and other conscious rappers who inspired. I guess it was just the unnourished hunger i had for spitting a hot 16 or vibing out to soul-like samples. Being 25 now and seeing the many changes and waves come and go thew hip hop, one thing has remained the same, and that is hip hop encourages the youth to have a voice, provides an opportunity for those with none ,gives hope when people are lost and appreciates the uniqueness and creativity of each artists' story. That's me, that's Hip Hop, that's Greenlight. Where anything and everything is possible as longs as you work hard and believe. Everything is a go.
