Bio

Will Blockson was born and raised in Seattle, WA. Before becoming the president and founder of his own independent Record label here in Seattle, WA, Will use to be a recording artist on a independent record company here also in Washington.
Will as an artist has earned a well known name in various Seattle venues such as the Paramount Theatre for(the Variety club), the Black Festival, Soul Festival, and at the Showbox(1st annaul hip-hop forum showcase). Will also has earned a spot in the Vancouver, BC market scene such as at Madison club, Grassland, York Theatre, the Vogue, Plaza of Nation, and the Ritz.
In, 1993 through 1995, Will took a step back from performing and lead Mod Out Records(his own indi company) and their artist’s into various recognition and head liner write-ups on the Flavor magazine in 1996, and at the Hip-Hop forum at the Showbox.
1997, Will became partners with a music coordinator from Alexandria, LA name Rob(RJ) Joseph. With his input and strategic ideals, they plan to build a recording empire here in WA that will not only have artists(performers) on the label So Be It!,(formely known as Mod Out Records) but will have a facility and staff training to equipe musicians to become business owners of there own to full fill there desired goals and exspectations in life.
In 1998 through 2000, Will just spent his days researching the music industry and was starting to notice a shift change starting to happen as far as how music is distributed and marketed through the internet.
In 2001, Will and business partner RJ produced there 1st national cd compilation titled “Larger Than Life volume 1”. This project had a total of seven(7) artists apart of it from R&B to Hip-Hop. They toured the album to Vancouver, BC and was able to have the cd broadcasted through the world wide web. This was a huge breaking point for both So Be It! and there artists. But sadly enough as the album was released, Will was diagnosed with renal(kidney) disease and felt he needed to put a holt on all recordings and work on getting his health in order.
In 2006, Will started back in the music industry through volunteering with the NW Kidney centers Healthfest, educating the community on kidney awareness, and a year later, 2007, Will joined the team and became the entertainment leader on the board of committee’s Kidney Healthfest and is still involved in this endeavor.
In 2011, Will has released his 7th solo album titled “Through The EyeZ of Cousin Cal” to bring the community aware of his newly found name Willa Scrilla that his 2nd to oldest brother always called him for many years. Also with this album, Will is planning future stop the violence projects after the passing of his cousin Calvin M. Grant that he was well close to.
Will is a spiritual business man that really knows what he wants in life and is always looking for other business leaders to work with in this line of business of the entertainment industry, the one thing that separate Will, So Be It! from others, is that they always have their minds on helping others to succeed, than themselves.
