Will Bowen

Will Bowen

Intense hook filled Pop/Rock songs that are smart, yet accessible to everyone. Whether with the band or solo acoustic Will displays his songwriting and vocal skills with passion and intensity.

Northeast Ohio-based singer/songwriter Will Bowen has impressed music industry executives since he burst onto the scene just as he was graduating from high school in 2004. Having released two albums on his own, Bowen signed a publishing deal with Pure Tone Music, run by former Arista and Epic Records VP Pete Ganbarg. The deal allowed Bowen the opportunity to create music with some of the top songwriters in the industry. While his catalog is still being pitched to various recording artists, Bowen has taken three of the more recent tracks and packaged them in a new self-titled EP produced by Michael Seifert of Ante Up Audio. Deferring college to focus on songwriting has given Bowen the chance to mature as a person and as a songwriter at the same time, and the three songs on the new EP are proof of that. There is a depth to his lyrics and a harder edge to his music that has not been evident in previous efforts. His voice is distinctively gritty and emotive, and Bowen sings about love and heartbreak like someone twice his age. Bowen has had the support of Cleveland powerhouse radio station Q104, whose management and staff have been spinning his music, sponsoring his shows and inviting him to take part in their events. Program Director Allan Fee is one of Bowen’s believers. “Will Bowen is a young artist who will soon be heard on radios and stereos everywhere,” says Fee. “He writes catchy pop/rock songs that are accessible to everyone and delivers them with an intense passion that I haven’t heard in years.” In his young career, Bowen has supported The Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, The Counting Crows, Edwin McCain, Marc Broussard, Everclear, Better than Ezra and more. “On a radio station gig in the backyard of a winning listener I encountered a great new songwriting talent in Will Bowen. People at this barbecue stopped what they were doing and committed to listening to this great young talent. His command of this audience and heartfelt singing really surprised me. I look forward with great interest in the development of his songwriting talent and his progress as a performer. You will be hearing from him for a long time.”—Edwin McCain (Platinum Recording artist, “I’ll Be”, “I Could Not Ask For More”)

I'll Be Here

Written By: Will Bowen

When goodbye’s the hardest part, I’ll be here
when the next fool breaks your heart, I’ll be here
when the days pass all the same, I’ll be here
when there’s no one left to blame, I’ll be here

I guess your waiting for someone to call
yeah your waiting for anything at all

I’ll be here
waiting for
you to change your mind
there’s nothing left
that I can do
that’s why I’m waiting here for you

when there’s something on your mind, I’ll be here
and the words are hard to find, I’ll be here
when the nights all feel so long, I’ll be here
when it seems all hope is gone, I’ll be here

Getting Over Me

Written By: Will Bowen

You made it look so easy
forgetting everything we were
I try to tell myself I’m moving on
but lately I ain’t so sure

I gotta get over you
getting over me
I swear, I’ll find a way

I try to paint this picture clearly now
don’t know what good it will do
Just like my heart the colors change somehow
to a broken black and blue

I gotta get over you
getting over me
I swear, I’ll find a way
you better remember me
or at least the man I tried
so hard to be

I’ve fallen
and I’ve stumbled
making my way through your lies
but this fog has now lifted
I opened up my eyes

Send Me to the Moon

Written By: Will Bowen

If I should say I'm sorry
for what I'm about to say
would you blame me darling
if I said it anyway
that you are the meaning
behind everything I do

You send me to the moon
you race me past the stars
you lead me to your room
to show me who you are
you send me to the moon

i promise you i'm trying
just as hard as I can
but I know that I'm so lucky
that I found someone who understands
thats why you are the reason
why I'm still here
and you are the season
where every sky turns clear

the night is turning red now
it's a sailor's sky in my mind
but still the star that leads to you's
not hard to find

rain, rain go away
come again some other day
i don't need you
i got my moon
