WILLET

BandRock

WILLET is a Rock Band out of Westminster, MD made up of brothers, Jeremy, Justin, and Jordan Willet. After returning from a tour of Africa in 2007, the band is touring the states full time in support of its new album, "sometimes a city needs a bomb."

Biography

The idea for WILLET (comprised of the 3 Willet brothers) began on a family trip to Florida while watching a CHEVELLE DVD in the backseat. Jeremy, Justin and Jordan grew up in a Christian home taking piano lessons from their father, which resulted in expanding to other instruments such as bass, drums and guitar. Being that the Willet brothers have always shared a close relationship both musically, and relationally, they pursued a vision to help kids all over the world.
Inspired by the 3 brothers that make up CHEVELLE, plus a deep root for integrity, and a passion for an intense live show, the band tours the country full time sharing their music. WILLET can be compared to BLINDSIDE, PROJECT 86 AND CHEVELLE.

"Willet’s stage performance is absolutely phenomenal! Their music and ministry as a whole ranks #1, 2nd place ministries pale in comparison. There are a lot of big-time Christian acts out there that could learn a lot from the boys in Willet."
-Moe (promoter for THE NOTEWORTHY)

“The passion that WILLET has for these kids in Africa has been so encouraging to me as a Christian and as an individual that wants to make a difference in this world.”
- Taylor Sitera (former member of STELLAR KART)

“Jeremy, Justin and Jordan are mature well beyond their years. Their Christ-like demeanors and spiritual maturity is indicative of their walk with our Lord. I am honored to work with them and blest by their representation of our organization.”
- Jeff Miller (Food For the Hungry)

TASTE

Written By: Words by Jeremy Willet, Music by Willet

Hello good soldier, do you remember your mistake
don’t turn your back when the battle is at stake
Simple misfortune, your life was spent underground
Better then the millions who put off the funeral

If it’s the taste of the emptiness that is turning you away/ then know this.....

Your children call and
Home is waiting
For a father to finally come alive
Too many years have passed
and too many failures - but all they wanted was to see you, alive

She has prepared the meal and mixed the wine
She has set the table and called the servants in line
Stolen water is sweet, secret food seems safe
Little does she know her guests are from the grave

Daddy just walked out the door
Mom is crying on the floor
children wait.....

Hostage

Written By: Words by Jeremy Willet, Music by Willet

Listen to the words, the spirit moving through the streets
Evidence of a nation, under seige
Broken survivors hear the scream of the wind
This disaster leaves us permanently changed

Love needs to find, why I’m lying awake, why I’m cold and naked
Cause I am hostage, I am hostage, without your love

Listen to the sound, the bullets piercing through the streets
Don’t leave her here alone, underneath
Scattered, scattered scattered chaos everywhere
and a desperate child, lying on the streets

Streetlights

Written By: Words by Jeremy Willet, Music by Willet

the streets outside are dry- like springs without water
my heart is threatened like a mist driven by the storm
if it is better to light a candle in the dark
then why did we turn out the lights?

curse the darkness and then smother the flame
you would fight but you feel like you have already won the game
so why scream if you'll never be heard
did we turn out the lights on a dying country

streetlights - the noise is over
streetlights - the noise is over
you - you hold the medicine - inside your hands....
streetlights - the noise is over
