Will Gatez....he only makes million dollar hits. His lyrics are like liquid gold. Features go platinum. All he needs is a mike and the rest is in the numbers. Fuck Wit Me...

He has a style that is undeniably fresh. Although a native of Dallas, his sound goes beyond that of “Dallas Swag”. Now attending classes at Maximedia Recording School, with the release of his upcoming mixtape Bad Bitches and Liquor, artist Will Gatez is here to prove that he can and will turn any beat into that million dollar song.

Born in the Bonton Projects of Dallas, TX, Will Gatez does not feel that he has to stick to “hood rhymes” because he knows where he came from. This is the motivation behind his dreams. Witnessing his family fall victim to drugs and gang violence, he aspired at a very young age to go beyond a life fathered by the Dallas streets. He says, “I don’t have to prove how hood I am because I lived hood my whole life”. He picked up a pen and began writing at the young of age 15 and nothing has been able to take its place ever since. Gatez feels “I can’t stop rapping, even if I wanted to. The feeling that I get seeing people react to my music is a feeling that nothing on this earth could ever replace”.

After graduating from Honors Academy, (formerly Dallas CAN Academy) Will Gatez went into the US Navy to be able to support his family as well as build a strong base for his craft. In his free time, he would go back to his pen and pad, giving him hours and hours of material to be used once his time in the Navy came to an end.

Fast-forward to today, Will Gatez is attacking the industry head on as an independent artist and has made great strides towards his career goals. In June of 2011, he joined team BornStarz to assist with Artist Development. Later that summer, he shared the stage with other local Dallas artist such as D-Tall and Chalie Boy at the 5th Annual Funkytown Hoodjam, hosted by K104’s KiKi J and J Rudd.

On December 18, 2011, Will Gatez was crowned “Week 5 Winner” of Championship Sundays hosted by Get Money Records. January 1 2012, Will Gatez returned to the Champ of All Camps finale competition and was crowned overall winner. As a headliner for Dallas’ own PartyProfiler.com, Gatez has opened for Houston based artist Lil’ Flip and has done shows in some of Dallas’ hottest night clubs, as well as performed in venues across Texas.

Will Gatez has worked with producers M16 of M16 beats (I Do by Jeezy) and King Solomon of Megasonic Beats located in Dallas Texas.
