Bio
Initially intending to just be "a guitar player" at age 13, Will started out in bands that were heavily influenced by jam rock and the sounds of Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Phish, and The Grateful Dead. "I wouldn't sing but would participate in writing the music and lyrics. Vocally, it was a little odd for me and the guitar opened up my ability to express myself. I then found my voice a few years later and the experimentation began." He developed his style of writing and performing with a series of different bands until he was 20 and has since become a solo artist, recently playing at venues on the east and west coast of Canada. "I definitely want a band to rock out live, the way the album is going to. But it has to be right, so I'm taking my time."
Influences: Jeff Buckley, Red House Painters/Mark Kozelek, Pink Floyd, Nick Drake, Martin Sexton, Leonard Cohen, Stevie Wonder, The Smiths, New Order, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead etc.
Will is currently in the studio with Tawgs Salter and Tom Treumuth working on his debut album set for an early 2006 release. Stay tuned for details and availability!
