Bio
A Maine-based folk rocker, William Joseph Jiordan’s music is strait-forward, lilted and sweet. His songs dance between praise and heartbreak, for the land, for a love lost and gained, for un-ending generosity of humanity, and/or land.
Jiordan has spent the better part of the last decade in the rural Maine,
as a member of the Blue Hill based dance band the Living Daylight and folk ensemble O Deer!. Inspired by the unmatched rocky saltwater landscapes, and relationships that grow, blossom and fade within them, his new solo project is an expression of songs and stories therein.
He performs with a small band an original catalog of music that invokes rhythmic likes of both Neil Young and Volfpeck, and poetic vocal arrangements that land between Fiest and the Barr Brothers that is woven together in a New England mytho/mystic story/song farm narrative.
