Biography

WILLIAM HUT released his fourth solo album, "Nightfall", this January (2007). The album has already sold 30 000 copies (platinum), and has produced two massive radio hits; "Take it Easy" & "You might Thrill me"
The first single "Take it Easy" received the platinum award, and has enjoyed over 6 months in the charts.

WILLIAM HUT has already made international waves as vocalist for the Norwegian Grammy Award winning Poor Rich Ones and with his previous solo work.

In the United States, Williams first solo album, Road Star Doolittle received fantastic reviews. Rolling Stone critic Rob O'Connor put it in his list of top 10 albums released in the U.S. in 2003.

Williams second album Versus the End of Fashion Park was also met with critical acclaim and produced two radio hits in Norway. Uncut Magazine said this about it: Huts second solo album is warmly sad, high on heartbreak (a) wintry classic.

Days to Remember, the third and most Americana influenced album of his catalogue, was recorded over a busy week in April 2004, in Boston, and got released the following fall. To highly critical acclaims the album got attention all over Europe, and earned William a grammy nomination in his native Norway.

Lyrics

Take it easy

Written By: William Hut

In these sleepless avenues, I’ve seen my past
Along the sidewalks, I’ve seen the whole cast
Find your bloom in stories
Wipe the dust and type it down
Ease the pain and build your crown
But it’s me
Me among others

Take it easy; whatever it takes
In times like this, I’ll be the gamble
I’m so much older now
Take it easy

There’s a way to recommend
Walk these shores, stones and sand
There’s a way to hold your hand
But it’s me
Me among others

Take it easy; whatever it takes
In times like this, I’ll be the gamble
I’m so much older now
Take it easy

I’m not a stranger
There is no such thing
I love the hope and faith in early spring
Time to sing

Take it easy; whatever it takes
In times like this, I’ll be the gamble
I’m so much older now
Take it easy

Nightfall

Written By: William Hut

These are the days of my future in love
Here in this orchestra, this city of strings
I came to my senses and this is what brings
Future in storyboards, freedom and wings

Have you ever seen the scars in mighty rainbows?
If you’re angry at someone, you might say
Hold me at nightfall
Only time will heal, my friend

The guys in the backyard, you called them night birds
They’re aching for storyboards, but they’re freezing to death

Have you ever seen the scars in mighty rainbows?
If you’re angry at someone, you might say
Hold me at nightfall
Only time will heal, my friend

This city after nine
And all my nights before
This city won’t heal itself
You might as well adore

Have you ever seen the scars in mighty rainbows?
If you’re angry at someone, you might say
Hold me at nightfall
Only time will heal, my friend

Have you ever seen the scars in mighty rainbows?
If you’re angry at someone, you might say
Hold me at nightfall
Only time will heal, my friend

You might thrill me

Written By: William Hut

You might thrill me
You might find your path across the sea
In despair, aware, fortune favours fools
I’ll leave my songs, I’ll leave my truth

I can crawl towards desire and success
But what’s the use of gold without you to impress?
It’s a long way from Hank to William’s desire
A long way from home and what I admire

Please, later this fall
You might as well call
And tell me that I’m strong

I left you stories
On your machine, night sweat and dream
I called you by your name, in shame
A different kind of family frame

I can crawl towards desire and success
But what’s the use of gold without you to impress?
It’s a long way from Hank to William’s desire
A long way from home and what I admire

Please, later this fall
You might as well call
And tell me that I’m strong

You might thrill me
You might find your path across the sea
In despair, aware, fortune favours fools
I’ll leave my songs, in bad shape

I can crawl towards desire and success
But what’s the use of gold without you to impress?
It’s a long way from Hank to William’s desire
A long way from home and what I admire

Please, later this fall
You might as well call
And tell me that I’m strong
