Bio

At the ripe age of 32, singer/songwriter William Nash, formaly known on the french music scene as Dan Potvin ( http://bonbien.site.voila.fr/2005 ) has just leaped over to Nashville TN.

Born and raised on the borders of Quebec and Ontario Canada, Nash is prolific in both english and french songwriting.

This gift became evident when he made the finals in a provincial shocase with a french rendition of Kansas's hit song "Dust in the Wind" in 1993.

In 1996, after having writen over 50 songs, William (then Potvin) recorded his first album with long time friend Emerson Drive fiddler David Pichette.

This would lead to cabarets and summer festivals but Nash would continue to travel and write for some time.

The last two years have been spent recording the merger of all the different styles brought on by European, northern, central and south american cultures.

The resulting Latin/Folk/Pop style is obviously influenced by the likes of John Denver, James Taylor, Santana & yet seem as they were arranged by Sting.

William Nash is a solo artist who's live perfomances are backed by freelance virtuosos and ever changing depending on the mood and settings.

Making his way back to Nashville was only natural as most of his lyrics have Kristofferson all over them and his 'out of the ordinary' chord changes require Music City's best musicians.

Nash is currently networking with Nashville based songwriters and publishers as well as doing vocal arrangements for local acts.
