Williams Orbit

William’s Orbit is a band with profile. You will immediately realize this listening to their songs, to an unmistakable voice and to their history. In 2015, music will be the first choice for the five indie-rock musicians. However, their self fulfillment trip will not take place in Berlin, Munich, Paris or London. It is taking root in their small hometown Weiden (Bavaria). Barely any media, but a lot of withdrawn and yet gracious people, surrounded by the woods. This might sound daring, but in fact is utterly promising, especially if you listen to the response of their debut-EP “Eurydice” (2014) - two sold-out release shows, live-gigs, airplays and interviews, distributed over the whole republic. The free Nuremberg broadcast Radio Z even awarded them with the 27th Stroboscope Award for Best Newcomer within the metropolitan region. People now believe quite a lot in the great continuation of the story.

The songs of the band already appear to be great. It’s all about strong emotions, experienced in big moments, about soaking in as much life as possible. It is their passion and their incentive to make music a matter of heart. The sound is anthemic, intense and gets under your skin. Therefore the guys feel visibly comfortable also on the big stage, as could be seen at their first gig in the current formation in 2012 at the M6 festival in Paris in front of 5000 people. However, also in a more intimate scope and unplugged they provide proof of their universal and timeless music, which does not have to follow any trend to move the audience.

At the moment, preparations for their first full-length album, coming in fall 2015, are in progress in Berlin with the renown producer Tobias Siebert. The famous skateboard- and lifestyle brand Element puts trust in the upcoming success of the boys and frequently equips the band with their new collections. Anyway, we can be curious when this spark is going to ignite and more folks will enter the Orbit.
