Bio
WILLIE BASSE is a classically trained vocalist and has been on stage since the age of five.
While out on his last tour, he won the Dallas Music News “Best Male Vocalist Award.” You can also see him on the TV Show “FRIENDS” in the “Smelly Cat” episode.
He has worked with the likes of Igor Stravinsky, The Santa Fe Opera, Texas Boys’ Choir (recipient of two Grammy Awards), William Self, Burl Ives, Greg Smith, Andy Johns, Buddy Miles, Canned Heat, Dennis MacKay, Dr. Dre, Sisqo, Carmine & Vinnie Appice, Terry Ilous, Tony Franklin, JK Northrup, DJ Ashba, James Kottak, Phil Souson, Earl Slick, Mike Finnigan, Stephen Stills, Randy Castillo, Mitch Perry,
Glen Sobel, Sean McNabb.
As a former staff songwriter for Leon Russell’s Shelter Records and with his metal band, BLACK SHEEP, Basse has developed a keen sense for picking “Hit Songs” and discovering major talent.
BLACK SHEEP has been the home to some of today’s best rock musicians like, Slash, James Kottak, Randy Castillo, Paul Gilbert, Mitch Perry and Marshall Harrison.
Willie is also the founder of “Rock For Recovery.” A Non-Profit Organization that develops Alcohol & Drug-Abuse awareness.
