"RadioIndy"

"Peace Be Still," is a delight of pure and raw faith, beginning with the upbeat praise song "Get Up And Praise Him" all the way to his soulful rendition of "The Lord's Prayer." The production and musicianship on this CD are top notch. Will McGowan demonstrates his strong R&B vocal style throughout the CD, which is also filled with very tasteful backing harmonies. Will allows us to peek into his own spiritual-being in the title cut "Peace Be Still," where his soulfulness is at it's peak. His very hip "My Redeemer Lives" will reach out and grab the youthful movement, who are so much in need of this type of outreach and acceptance. We believe McGowan certainly hits the mark when it comes to witness, and his testimony in song belongs in your collection of spiritual, gospel, or praise music.

Bio

A side rarely seen, this gifted percussionist also possesses musical and lyrical talent. A native of East Austin, Texas, will was so enamored with the drums that he taught himself to play at age 3, with nothing more than a couple of tree branches and empty cans of Crisco, while singing R&B songs by Motown greats. Despite his grandmother's constant pleas to "quit making all that racket", Will pursued his love of music and at age 19, with a real drumset in hand, played his first gig on Austin's famed 6th Street. Since then, Will has served as worship leader in one of Austin's largest churches.
