Will Mendenhall is one very talented artist. When people around Fort Smith hear Will Mendenhall they ask,” Where has this guy been?” Well the answers is…all over the US and Europe. Living the life of a modern troubadour, he has opened for big names and played the coffeehouses honing his craft. His latest release, Blood of My Blood, is reminiscent of JJ Cale or Paul Brady with the cool jazzy feel of Van Morrison. But comparisons are just not fair as Will has his own style, based in his languid, but oh so expressive, vocals and insightful lyrics. This show will be a very special performance as Will will be recording a new LIVE CD at Second Street Live. This is a first for us…a great Fort Smith artist recording LIVE at Second Street Live. Truckstop Poets-Live from Souless Radio America-another band I formed, the only release. With the only airplay it received was our living rooms. (It happens).

Influenced by the greats such as Dr. Seuss, Ray Charles, Woody Guthrie and Tom Waites:
As a boy I would read classics, write poems and short stories. Along came the "first guitar", thanks to my parents, and songs were produced. I bounced from band to band searching my course. A personal revelation directed me in to my "own".
Life and Art are fragile, I approach both with reverence.
The songs I write are my gift to impart- Enjoy.
