Bio

A New Expectation…

After the dissolution of TRACTORBOY and GTO, the surviving members of each band formed a new band in the year 2000. Together they started to write songs in search of a unique and original sound. Looking to one of their songs it was suggested that “WILL MINOR”, inspired by the novel “Professor and the Madman” by Simon Winchester, would be a unique enough name and was voted as the new designation of the band. Since it’s inception Will Minor has opened for bands such as Edwin and the Pressure, The Northern Pikes and Big Sugar. Their first full length, self titled, CD was released on New Year’s Eve of 2003. They have been featured on the radio stations such as 98.9 ZFM in Red Deer, CJAY 92 in Calgary and 100.3 The Bear in Edmonton. Will Minor has played live at events such as Stage 13, Canada Music Week, Alberta’s Own Hard Rock Weekend and the Calgary Stampede. On July 9, 2004, WILL MINOR played the Beer Gardens at Stage 13 and shared the stage with bands like The Trews and Vince Neil. The band has also donated their services to such events as the Nicole Hoar Benefit to help find a missing loved one from their hometown of Red Deer. Their live show and CD demonstrate how WILL MINOR uniquely crafts their music, their skills as songwriters, and shows their commitment to writing great music. And this is just the start…

Demand Better…

It is the community minded goal of WILL MINOR to consistently write, record, and perform excellent original music.
