Bio
Willoh are a four piece Grunge/Pop band from Brighton. Sammy (vocals + guitar) and Hattie (guitar) met during freshers week at the University of Sussex in 2014; they connected musically instantly and spent a year practising and writing songs together in Sammy’s bedroom, over watched by Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix whose posters were hung up on the walls. In the summer of 2015 Hattie and Sammy played their first festival ‘Oakfest’, after the performance they felt that their sound would be even better with a strong backline. They held auditions and recruited Jd (bass) and George (drums), in November 2015 Willoh was born. Willoh are influenced by Wolf Alice, The Stone Roses and Nirvana, their sound is grungy and gritty with catchy pop elements - expect soft melodies and screaming backing vocals. Willoh now have a large collection of original songs and a tight line up, in 2016 they will be releasing their debut single and playing live shows.
