Wings of Rust

Wings of Rust is a Calgary based hard-rock group made up of Jay Wegenast (lead vocals), Barrett Moore (lead guitar/vocals), Luke Ball (guitar), Joel Jackson(bass), and Brad Nester (drums). The band came together in the spring of 2011, however the members have played together for some time within other bands. Wings of Rust is a true representation of the musical tastes and talents of the entire band. Their sound has been compared to the likes of Down, Alice in Chains, and Days of the New and is infused with grungy vocals as well as heavy guitar and drums. In 2010, band members Jay Wegenast and Barrett Moore recorded an album with Ryan Andersen (Nickelback) and had it mixed by industry legend Michael Wagener (Metallica, Ozzy, Motley Crue). Two songs off of the album were released to national rock radio and received heavy airplay. The first single reached number 1 on 106.1 The Goat in Lloydminster as well as number 4 on Rock 104 in Olds. They have also been heard on radio stations across the globe. With each member bringing impressive and unique talent, Wings of Rust is definitely a new group that will blow your mind!
