Wingspell is a musical project creating “Renaissance Gothic” songs, founded by Toronto-based vocalist and composer Chagall Sierra. The sound features ethereal soprano vocals, shimmering pads, distorted guitar, and rocking drum beats! Lyrically, the focus is on love, nature, and loss.
Inspired by the progressive rock of Blackmore’s Night, the neo-classical of Dead Can Dance and Angels of Venice, and the driving symphonic metal of Within Temptation.
Our Musical Goal: “When the Faerie and Angelic realms collide, and otherworldly music is born of a union both blessed and damned: this is the resulting mystic birth. Haunting love songs – classic, modern covers, and originals,” says Sierra.
