Winkz Rippa, born Avery Larauz Daughrity, is a 23 yr old, Mississippi Delta based progressive Hip-Hop recording artist/producer. In August of 2009 he announced the upcoming release of his first, although heavily anticipated feature length underground mixtape entitled "The Foundation" due out Summer 2010. He has continued to broaden his listening audience through collaborative efforts featuring some of the most talented artists within the region including Skinny Boy of 754, Lil Wade, Lil Coleman, and Lil MIC. Fans compare the musical stylings of Winkz Rippa to that of veteran mainstream acts such as Lupe Fiasco, T.I., Chamillionaire and Kid Cudi. Since 2000 he has fine tuned his lyrical and song writing abilities in an attempt to find the most suitable means of conveying his personal thoughts on life, love and ambition, given his unique locality and experience. Winkz Rippa prides himself in an uncanny depth and ability to reach, stylistically complimenting a wide range of beat selections with his flow and rhyme patterns. "What sets me apart, i think, is how i can formulate my verses to flow really well on any beat. People tell me that my voice and track presence is what comes across most impressively. I just keep it 100 an go ham at all cost.. just have fun creating music". The chosen stage name of "Winkz Rippa" is more than an abstracted addition to his given nickname "Ripp", it is a culmination of concepts that, to its bearer, can simply be defined as "WAKE THE F*** UP". "I'm aware that me being from Mississippi makes it difficult for many people to take me seriously as a rap artist, and I do not make apologies for that because those who take the opportunity to experience my music, mainly being hip-hop listeners within the mississippi delta region, come to understand an acknowledge how special this movement is..
