The Toronto based, Winston is a collaboration of two brothers, who are best defined by the music they create. Intimate, intense, and inspirational are a few words that come to mind. This pair, it seems, just fell out of the sky and landed right in the center of Toronto's music scene. Luigi Gabriele, age 27says, " I really love playing the smaller venues, these little rooms that somehow absorb the music and create this closeness with eveyone." What these guys are able to do with an old guitar, a piano and the blending of their own voices is something that one must experience and not just hear. Winston's latsest recording is a collection of nine songs, entitled, "Sway". The material kind of sounds like Billy Joel hitched a ride to Nashville with Coldplay and The Wallflowers, if you can imagine that. "With Sway we wanted to keep it simple and didn't want to get carried away with the production. We went straight to tape, the way they did in the old days. Nothing sounds quite like it.", says Vince Gabriele, age 24. Winston's warm, honest and original sound will leave you with the impression you've known these guys your whole life, and as for that song you've been singing all morning? Well, you just might be singing it for the next little while.
