"Single Review"

"Winterhours deliver Radical Face’s rousing alt-folk with added vim and jangle. They also incorporate some of Dry The River’s cooing melancholy into their wonderfully warming blend of music"
The 405 - The 405

"Single Review"

"Winterhours produce a tune that’s epic and soaring and one which appears to come direct from the heart and not the wallet. Lovely!"
Andy Von Pip - The Von Pip Musical Express - Von Pip Express

"Winterhours Review"

"Winterhours do an incredible range in widescreen, epic indie and this single delivers this perfectly"

"Track Review"

Winterhours
The Ghost

...silence... BOOM! That's what the intro to the start of this track is like, which is great as it immediately grabs your attention. The verse is a lot softer and has some great harmonies. I have also noticed ghostly sounds in the background of the chorus which is interesting as it kind of word paints for the listeners. The bridge is a nice break in the song and I feel it builds up to the instrumental end very well. In short ... I love this song, and I think it will appeal to a wide audience.

"Track Review"

Winterhours
The Ghost

Ghost is a wonderfully creative track with a rollercoaster of moods. The verses may seem a little lacking in originality melody wise, but the rest of the track more than makes up for it. An amazing guitar filled intro that is both haunting and stylish in a Smiths/early Coldplay way will grab your attention from the start. Two minutes fifteen seconds in though the track really kicks in massively with a driving guitar riff and lots of ad lib electric guitar. You think you've heard it all. Wrong! It then mellows out again to create a beautifully chilled middle. The outro will put hairs on the back of your neck. Superb.

"Emerging Icon - Winterhours"

We recently put the Winterhours track “Sleepy House” forward for our weekly Absolute Radio competition. Host of the Sunday Night Music Club, Pete Donaldson, had this to say; “A soft, swishy vocal melts into a jingle-jangle indie guitar line - a real seconds-after-midnight howl of a track. Superb.”

"Band Of The Week"

As temperatures begin to fall, this weeks BOTW Winterhours are here to warm us with their Americana folk tones. This Winchester/London-based four piece opened the main stage at this years Beach Break Live Festival in Wales to mass reverence from the crowd, building upon their already impressive live reputation. Considering their relatively short lifespan since 2009, Winterhours have already featured on BBC introducing and shared stages with indie giants The Wombats - their name may be seasonal but their music is anything but.
