"Someone in Texas Loves Me"

LITTLEBEARWOLF / SOMEONE IN TEXAS LOVES ME
Aloha!

I love hearing new, emerging bands & musicians. It's always a pleasure to feature them here at littlebearwolf. Good music deserves to be shared and loved.
I'm always on the lookout for music to listen to; when an EP appears in my inbox or even better (because i'm old fashioned and listen to my music on a cd/record hifi) lands in my hands from the postman, I know I could be about to hear my new favourite band!

When I arrived home this morning exhausted, (I'm on one contract that's due to end and starting up a couple of new ones; it's going to be awesome but for the next couple of weeks I'll be exhausted from switching between two lives.) it was lovely to receive an EP in the post. I like collecting EP's for my music collection, this one certainly deserves a space in KG's collection!

SOMEONE IN TEXAS LOVES ME - WINTERS HILL

If you'd like a taste of something fresh to give your week a buzz, then Winters Hill EP, 'Someone in Texas loves me' is just the EP you're looking for.
Winters Hill will have you swaying to the folk rock songs, each one a little story, a little escape for those few minutes.
I love the originality of WH music, reminds me of the songs I love so much from times gone by and it's not often I hear that in emerging bands. Hints of Dylan, Ralph McTell and Neil Young lie in the inspiration and makeup of the songs; Entwined with catchy lyrics that tell a story, haunting harmonica & melodious guitar riffs cloaked in a fusion of blues, country & folky songs that truly show the unique musical talent of Winters Hill.
'The Train Went West' is the first track on the EP, as the lyrics take you on a journey, the guitar riffs and cajon drumming will keep you mesmerized. You won't be able to stop your feet tapping and the catchy chorus' will have you singing along in no time. A cracking track that enchants you into 'Somone In Texas Loves Me', the second track on the EP. A track that is bound to seduce your senses. I could bet that this track will be played on radio stations across the land, it's a brilliant track that continues to draw you in to the music.
'Too Young' follows on, providing the middle track of the EP, this sometimes can be a point at which you switch off, not with Winters Hill. A more delicate track but in every way as beautiful. The harmonicas haunting elegance defines this track and will keep your thoughts focused entirely on the rest of the EP.
'Sheila' is track number four. Upbeat tones create a track that will get you dancin' despite the gritty lyrics. The guitar parts of this track interweaved with the catchy lyrics gives this track a certain edge and originality that I desire so when listening to emerging bands.
'Electric Cigarette's' is the final track on the EP. A delightful mix of Winters Hill songwriting talent and musical ability, this track's harmonica and lyrics fill the room as I find myself captivated by this entire EP. So thank you Winters Hill, for providing the world with your music. - Littleberarwolf
