Winzell Kelly was inspired at an early age by watching his fathers Blues band rehearse. Winzell's mom was a gospel singer in her church. Winzell was born in Detroit Mi. and all of his life he has been involved with music from playing the saxophone in high school to playing the Bass in church, then becoming a singer with The Capitals ( Cool Jerk) , Until one day he was offered a spot with his favorite group of all times, The Dramatics where he has been for nearly 20 yrs. Winzell has always wanted to record a solo cd so he persued it and now has released his solo single " Step on By" which is featured on a compilation cd by Hitsville Records. Winzell is also a phenominal writer and has written a song along with LJ Reynolds on The Dramatics titled "Bad Girl" which is going to be the single on their new cd. Winzell has a style that is comparable to Peobo Bryson, Jeffrey Osborne, and Marvin Gaye all wrapped into one. Winzell was also nominated for The 2011 R&B Male singer of the year for the Detroit Black Music Awards...
