Bio

Every once in a while a band comes around that shakes things up just enough so people really start to notice. The latest band to do just that is WIRED - a fierce, young act keeping the punk rock flame alive with an honest love for the “rock” component that is all too rare these days. Since forming in 2002, WIRED have paved their way with lightening speed.
It only took a few months for Wired to establish a truly rabid fan base in New York. It was this early support and Wired’s high-energy, explosive tunes that caught the ear of TAXI and they won the TAXI President’s Choice award in 2004.
The band spends many hours on the road writing, collaborating and discovering who they are as musicians. They wrote a record essentially around common human feelings; about relationships, unsure and exhausted but utterly exhilarated and optimistic at the same time. Wired’s sound has been honed into a tough and tuneful songs. With a signature style of dual guitar assault with sexy riffs, infectious melodies and driving beats. The songs run the gamut from the defiant "Every Little Thing" to the very introspective "Time To Go." The band challenges and inspires on "One Shot" a song about having one chance to make it and really wanting to move people. The chorus empowers the listener through reassurance that all their stars are shining tonight! These themes run throughout the twelve tracks on “Your First Time”, as does the desire to break down stereotypes and be heard as themselves. “Your First Time” is a great snapshot of their lives and is embraced by their fans as a soundtrack to their lives.
Of course the best way to connect with fans, is the band's high-energy, raucous live show. The Wired live experience is anchored by Adam banging drums like a madman, stopping at nothing, and staying in the pocket. Justin thrashes and blisters his guitar while he and Sebastian play off of each other like hot and cold Nick lays the groove while working the crowd and eventually jumping in. Joe delivers every word with sincerity while channeling the incendiary spirit of a true front man.
Show after show Wired plays to packed houses, leaving hundreds of new and feverishly grinning fans in their wake. Part of the reason Wired was able to make such a major mark in a place such as New York where "jaded" and "hard-to-please" are the most common descriptions of audiences is because they aren't afraid to do it their way. They play nontraditional venues like skating rinks, bowling alleys, community centers, whenever and wherever the fans are.
Wired’s music is a combination of pop, punk, and classic rock. It’s no frills rock with choruses that stick and lines that the fans sing along by heart. Through their dedication to connect and the countless hours spent meeting kids, Wired has developed a diehard fanbase organically from show-to-show and internet word of mouth. The result is an ever growing base of over 22,000 friends on myspace. One fan at a time, loyal to the end.
