"Sham-rock: Local band Wireless Soul performs in Chicago's St. Patrick's Day Parade"

The local kids' rock band Wirelss Soul performed on their own 40-foot float during Chicago's St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17, which was televised on ABC Channel 7 News. Joe Cangelosi, 11, was on drums and vocals while 10-year-old Vince Minogue, of Northbrook, was on lead vocals and guitar. Dancers from the Sullivan School of Irish Dance joined the band on their float while dressed in their traditional Irish garb. Professional bassist Brad Opalinski played with the band during the parade as the float slowly rolled down Columbus Drive. - 22nd Century Media

Wireless Soul has teamed up with guitarist extraordinaire, Dave Uhrich to produce their upcoming album which will be a compilation of covers and original music. Vince Minogue and Joe Cangelosi both write their own songs and are collaborating together on several songs. Their first single, a cover of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes debuted on 95.1FM WIIL Rock on 02/09/13. Wireless Soul will release their upcoming self titled album this summer.

Wireless Soul is unique because of their very young age. At only 10 and 11 years old, Vince Minogue (lead vocals and guitar) and Joe Cangelosi (drums and vocals) are the youngest rock band to have ever performed live at the iconic venue, Allstate Arena! They play popular rock music with an energetic live show headed up by lead guitarist and vocalist 10 year old Vince Minogue who commands the stage with a stunning Dean diamond plate guitar which is one of only 100 made to commemorate Dean's 10,000 Razorback guitars that were made and sold over the history of the company.

Equally stunning is the master drumming style of 11 year old Joe Cangelosi with his pounding double bass technique and twirling drumsticks giving Wireless Soul its unique, signature full sound!

Wireless Soul has performed live at Allstate Arena, The Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade, Metropolis Performing Arts Center, Cubby Bear North, The Alley, IL/WI Fair Fest Expo, Wilmot Mountain Resort, The Geneva Concours, Westfield Old Orchard Shopping Center, Winnetka Days, Glenview Holiday in the Park and Parade, The Oasis, Hoosier Grove Barn, and Youth Center of Glenview/Northbrook.

Wireless Soul has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, The Daily Herald, The Northbrook Star, The Northbrook Tower, The Glenview Lantern, Glenview Announcements, The Glenview Journal, The Winnetka Current, The Wilmette Beacon, What's Happening, and Irish American News.
