Bio

Electro-rock group Looks To Kill suckles electro-sweetness and then surprises you with a pure rock sucker punch. The band combines hints of eighties pop rock with modern electro vibes, creating an unique and high energy stage show.

The group formed in the fall of 2011 with Katie Fagan (vocals), Sam Masih (guitar) and Alex Ross (keys) and recently added Rudy Mallat (drums) and Tommy Automatic (bass). The band's sound is easily electro-rock but with influences from eighties bands such as Depeche Mode, Billy Idol, Corey Hart, Möev but combined in a new millennium way. Anthemic and hooky, Katie's vocals contrast sweet innocence and then dose you with a hint of wicked, Joan Jett-style.

The group's debut, sold out performance at Fortune Sound Club just followed the release of their three-song EP, We Want Your Love (the debut EP), which has the hook-drive title song as well as the dark but epic Night's Long and the live show favourite Wake Up. The EP was produced by local Fox Seeds winner, Jordan Carrier.

"We were both getting asked by everyone we knew for the tracks so we wanted to record at least a few of the tracks to start building momentum and growing our fan base," said Sam. "It's been overwhelming, actually. I've been in other bands, but I've never seen such an immediate response to the music."

The group recently won a grant to work with legendary local producer, Jonathan Fluevog at Vogville Studios and will be working in the studio over the winter.
