Without Cause

Without Cause

We have a sound that is a mix between Relient K, Remedy Drive, and contemporary praise and worship music. Basically, we rock out for God every time on the stage. We write most of our songs with a foundation on the piano and expand the instrumentals from there. Lyrics are most important.

James and Andrew started playing in the youth praise band at Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City about 3 years ago. Will joined in about a year later and we picked up Logan after we decided we wanted to take our music somewhere and spread the love of Christ. Lyrically, Relient K is a major influence. The craftsmanship Matt puts into the fluency and beauty of his words is amazing, and we can only strive to utilize the power of words. As for the piano parts, the coalescence of Remedy Drive has really inspired Andrew and some of his latest songs have a Remedy Drive piano spin on them. Interestingly enough, we have three songwriters in the band, which creates a conglomerate of sound when hearing a set. James writes most of his music either on the acoustic or the piano whereas Andrew always creates his music on the piano. Will has just begin to write music by creating catchy intros on the electric and riffs for some of our verse sections of our songs. But through and through, what sets us apart from the rest is our refusal to put up a front. If we can't live a life of music praising God and leading others to him through beautiful sound, the life isn't worth living. With so many frauds in the music industry, it's heartbreaking to think of those striving for fame for themselves and not God. We may be young in the industry, but we're here to make a statement about our faith.
