Bio

With You In Mind was founded in February of 2012 by Nick McGowan (drums), Nate Phillips (vocals/guitar), Tyrel McIntire (bass), and James Carroll (guitar). WYIM comes from Effingham, IL. All members have played in many other bands prior to the birth of WYIM. Nick and Nate have played in bands together for over three years, and in February of 2012, they decided they needed to surround themselves with the best musicians that fit the vision they were striving for.

With You In Mind has a very distinct sound due to the variety in musical tastes of each member of the band. It is difficult to compare the music of WYIM to anything out currently. The music is best described as Alternative-Pop-Rock. It's not straight pop because the music has a very dark, alternative edge to it. But at the same time, the vocals are filled with harmonies and pop melodies. The music is high energy, and the catchy melodies tend to stick with a listener for days at a time!

With You In Mind has played with the following acts: The Rocket Summer, William Beckett, There For Tomorrow, Set It Off, Divided By Friday, The Classic Crime, The Wedding, etc. WYIM is working on building a reputation in the major cities in their surrounding area, which include, St. Louis, Chicago, Rockford, Carbondale, Champaign, Indianapolis, Nashville, Louisville, etc.

With You In Mind released their debut EP "Worth The Wait" at the beginning of 2013. The music is available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Pandora, etc. WYIM recorded all of the instruments for the EP with their own recording gear. The vocals and the mixing/mastering was done by Brad Eversole. WYIM is currently writing new music for a full length album that is expected to be released by 2014.

With You In Mind's short-term goals is to build a strong reputation in the surrounding cities, to finish writing the full length album, and to establish high demand in cities across the nation. Their long-term goals are to reach the world with their music, doing what they love, and to make a living doing so.
