Bio
Will Jacobs may be a lot younger than most Chicago blues musicians at 17 years old, but that isn’t stopping this guitarist, singer & songwriter from his passionate musical pursuits.
During the past 4 years “Will Jacobs & Dirty Deal” has attracted both local and international attention. Winners of the 2009 Windy City Chicago Blues Challenge (band-youth division), they’re becoming known because of Will’s soulful, vocal chops and guitar improvisational talents coupled with the band’s rockin’, blues-infused sound and exhilarating stage performance. Based out of Chicago, they represent an uncommon range and depth of musicianship for such a young group. But drive and dedication is evident in this powerhouse group whose music is a blend of blues/rock/r&b classics and original tunes that run the gamut from fast & fiery instrumentals to intensely sensitive ballads. Experienced as an opening act (for international sensations Eddy Clearwater and Tommy Castro) or as the Headline performer, this band delivers a one-of-a-kind experience!
“A real powerhouse performer!"
–WINDY CITY BLUES SOCIETY,
June 2010
“Will is just a teenager but his
music is VERY mature and he
showed why he was chosen to
represent the Windy City
Society as a youth showcase
act at the Int’l Blues Challenge
last January. His singing,
songwriting and guitar playing
skills are way beyond his
years.”

“I have often wondered where
the blues genre is headed. A
lot of the Chicago blues
veterans are getting up there
in years. I did not think that
any younger pickers could rise
to the level of these blues
masters, man was I wrong.”

“There is a lack of exciting
blues out there today, but Will
Jacobs & Dirty Deal have
absolutely brought a lot
of energy to these new tracks.
If you like John Mayer's efforts
as a blues man (The John
Mayer Trio) then you will
definitely enjoy this. Each
track is tight, has a deep
groove and
is consistently upbeat.”
