Awktober originally born Danielle Christina was born October 14th,1994. At the age of 3 she was already up dancing and singing with her family, doing impersonations of her favorite actors/actresses and musicians. With her stepfather being in the Army they moved around a lot, which was kind of hard on her and her brother because they had to make new friends and also adapt to a new environment. After watching a movie about inner city kids getting a new teacher, who taught them to play string instruments she got the love for music. So, when she was 5 years old she begged her mom to get her a violin. Months and months of begging her mom finally gave in and let her take lessons. At age 9 she began acting in Kansas City,Kansas by going to her first audition for a Mickey Mouse commercial. Although she didn't get the role she continued to pursue her dream in becoming an actress after a couple years of putting it on hold.

When Awktober turned 12 years old she began getting back into her acting when she saw High School Musical 2.Watching it gave her an inspiration nothing else had before. It wasn't about the fame, but it was about the fact that everyone in that movie became like family. When you watch behind the scenes you see a happy cast that aren't just co-workers, but they are friends and some become family. That's when when she stayed up until 4 in the morning online looking for talent/modeling agencies. She found one called "John Casablancas Modeling and Talent Agency" she put in her contact information and got called the next day for an audition. She got the gig, but her mom felt she was a little to young to make the decision of getting into a contract for years,so she didn't take it. At the age of 13 she began doing more with music and acting at the same time.Forming a group with her best friends in 2008 (Misstre Grlz) they began writing music and performing. In 2008, Awktober focused more towards her music and interest in acting.

Now being 19 years old Awktober says she will continue to follow her dream as an artist. " I don't want to be the average female hip hop artist that everyone expects. I want to be something different, something that nobody expects me to be. Yes, I like Nicki Minaj and I respect what she does as an artist. I would say I'd want to be sort of like Lil' Mama in a music sense because she never had to use the whole "sex sells" thing. People clown her for it, but at the end of the day I wouldn't care what anyone said about me. Tell me I have to have Disney or Nickelodeon to make it anywhere and I'll prove you wrong. In my eyes if it's the sex selling then people don't care about your talent point blank period." she said. After talking about her future plans she says " I hope to be like a female Bieber, when I say that I mean I want to be as inspiring as he is. I want to have fans dedicated to me like he has fans dedicated to him. I want to be relevant for a long time and not just fall off, so I prepare now by being versatile with my music. On my album I hope to incorporate a little bit of singing and I don't mean on Drake type singing I mean a few tracks singing and some hooks here and there. I don't know any female RAPPERS that don't follow the "sex sells" or that have "clean" music. Just know I'm here to change that, I'm ready to show these young girls and boys that you can be a successful artist with clean music. You don't have to cuss and be half naked to make it despite what people may say to you or about you."
