Wilson Lake and the Rock Bass is 50's style blues / rock-n-roll music in a landscape of woods and water, where kids and adults hike, fish, swim and experience other outdoor adventures... "ADVENTURE ROCK FOR ALL AGES!"
Playing area libraries, festivals, parks and camps, Toledo, Ohio's Wilson Lake and the Rock Bass have been encouraging families to get outside and experience nature since 2005. The main songwriter for WLRB, Tom Jackson, says," I've been listening to a lot of 50's music for the past year and a half trying to harness the energy and feel of that music. Our first two CD's have songs with that feel, but our next one will be heavily influenced by Little Richard, Carl Perkins and Chuck Berry."
The early Rock-n-Roll basis for Wilson Lake and the Rock Bass' music makes it easily recognizable and acceptable for various ages of listeners. Pair that with song themes that feature animals, insects, fishing and camping, families will look to make a dance hall out of a hiking path.
