Wobblesauce was the opening band, who I had heard of from a couple places. They had played at Wadzilla Mansion, a friend of mine from school's new music venue in Allston among other places I remember seeing them listed. I've actually sampled a song of theirs, since their album is free to download and worth a listen.Anyways, they had a really chill but rockin' jamtronica type sound that really did a good job loosening up the crowd.
Their music was like the Disco Biscuits I guess, although I don't really listen to much of that stuff myself. Some really nice, Santana/Dead style guitar licks paired up with some flowing, groovy key work and electronic button mashing, with a good bass and drums backing. Played some good reggae/dub stuff I was feeling in particular, plus their opening album track "Rubadub DUB" as a closer was definitely pretty rockin'.

Based out of Boston, Wobblesauce brings us a unique mix of live electronic funk, rock, and dance music! Made up of three diversely styled musicians from across the country, Wobblesauce combines nasty synth lines and a rhythm section that never ceases making people get down on the dance floor. Rocking out such Boston venues as Harper's Ferry, Brighton Music Hall, Great Scott and The Middle East, they also currently hold a weekly residency at the Wonder Bar in Allston. Wobblesauce has gained recognition outside of Boston as well, melting minds at Tammany Hall (Worcester), Thumpty Manor (Cornell University), Crash Mansion (NYC), The M Room (PA), Triumph Brewery (PA) The Delancy (NYC) Club Metronome (VT) and festivals such as The Big Up, Bella Terra, Hempfest, Heads in Harmony, Camp Coldbrook, Muddy River Jamfest, FetFest, 51 BassCamp, Desiderata and CMJ! At these memorable events, Wobblesauce has shared the stage with other artists such as Emancipator, Vibesquad, Dopapod, Eskmo, Encanti, Beats Antique, Future Rock, Perpetual Groove, DVS* and Pnuma Trio! After a little over one year as a fully formed band, Wobblesauce has accomplished more than most bands strive to do in their first five. With this sort of momentum behind them, it is safe to say Wobblesauce can be called one of the most up and coming live electronic music act in New England!
