Bio

Wolfspider is a three piece, rock band from Washington, D.C. In June 1998, Wolfspider was created by original founding members Jim “Les” Swink, lead guitar player and original songwriter, Joe D'Angelo played the bass guitar and lead vocals., and an old friend Oscar Cardenas played the drums. After a few lineup changes, we have now brought in singer Abby Rhoads on bass guitar and lead vocals. Joe D’Angelo is now our full time drummer and backing vocals. Wolfspider has gotten national recognition as the official rock band for the Tony Kornheiser Show on ESPN’s Sports talk Radio. Since June 1998, the music has been played on the show between commercial breaks. The show is syndicated, and it is heard on over 200 radio stations across the country. In turn, they have been able to play high profile gigs, such as the Milwaukee Rock Fest. Wolfspider targets all-age audiences. The new sound is coinciding with today's rock music.
